What is a typical no-show rate?
It varies widely by specialty, by how far ahead visits are booked and by whether the clinic reminds patients. Use your own figure: count last month’s no-shows against its booked appointments.
How much can reminders reduce no-shows?
It depends on the clinic, which is why the reduction is yours to set. Measure a month with reminders against a month without and put your own result in.
Why count refilled slots?
A slot given to a waiting patient is not lost. Counting only the slots that stay empty keeps the figure honest.
